Which is better, Public high school or private one?

Here they say that private schools are better than public schools and they are listing a few reasons as well. I have been looking for a high school for my daughter and I was thinking to send her to a public school, but after reading this article now I am pretty confused. I don't know where you live, but it depends on location here in Australia.

A low-cost private school is best if you live in Redland Bay, Queensland, Australia, where I currently reside I would go to Kimberly College. The state school, by reputation, is horrible.

If you live in Indooroopilly, Queensland, Australia, there are many fine private schools to choose from but the local state school Indooroopilly High I went to is as good as any of them and would be my choice. In fact, my parents chose it over the private schools based on how good it was.

However, if you are in Australia and your child is 13 years or older, I would drop out of HS completely and enrol in 2 subjects at the University of Open Learning:

In the US, I would contact your local Community College to see if they offer Dual Enrolment. Under Dual Enrolment, you are nominally still at HS but go to Community College instead.
